How the bid is built
You can read the estimate.
The number is a list of work, not a lump that hides the parts. If the job changes, the extra is written down and priced before anyone starts that piece. We do not offer financing.
“Rich has done 2 bathrooms, all new engineered flooring on our first floor, he also did major structural work to create our new kitchen. We couldn’t be happier. A really nice quality of Grate Contracting is that Rich is very fair with extra work performed, in the past it always would seem that the “extras” always added up to so much. Rich has very detailed estimates and they build to last.”
What happens after you write
Rich calls back within a day. The first visit is at your house. A written estimate follows when the scope is clear enough to price. There is no formal warranty program — he stands behind the work and comes back if something is wrong.
- Do you offer a written warranty?
- There is no formal warranty program. Rich stands behind the work and comes back if something is wrong.
- Do you offer financing?
- No. We do not partner with a lender and we do not run monthly-payment widgets.
- How do estimates work?
- The bid is itemized. If the scope changes, the extra is priced in writing before that work starts. Peggy Johnston’s note on this sits on the estimates page because it is the point.
